There’s something special about using material that someone else
sees as useless. It connects you to the process of recycling in a
way that creates curiosity for the materials themselves
and what can be done with them.

About the Artist

Dona Antonelli is a freelance graphic designer and jewelry creator who has lived in Lancaster County for over 20 years. A little more than 5 years ago, noting that many jewelry vendors offered similar designs and inspired by the eco-conscious leanings of her daughter, Dona started experimenting with upcycling, determined to craft wearable art both earth-friendly and unique. Now, she constantly develops new techniques and utilizes novel materials, sometimes spurred on by her clients themselves.

Desert Dreams Design Studio offers patrons a way to satisfy both their desire to wear something beautiful and reduce their carbon footprint.
Each creative item is hand-crafted and one of a kind. Whether it is an aluminum can, a plastic bottle or a broken piece of china, going green
never looked so gorgeous!

“Being Green Has Never Been So Colorful or So Satisfying.”
